Professor na Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)

I work as a professor in the Postgraduate Program in Ecology at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV), supervising master's and doctoral students and teaching the course Society and Conservation. In this course, I address, in an integrated way, the main research areas that articulate politics and governance in biodiversity conservation, defaunation in the Anthropocene, environmental justice, and socio-environmental conflicts.

My supervised students develop research in ecology and conservation of mammals, impacts of armed conflicts on biodiversity, wildlife trafficking, and the health of trafficked animals, combining ecological, socio-environmental, and quantitative approaches.
